The body is the instrument of all our experience: our ability to think, to respond emotionally, to express ourselves, to feel physical pleasure and pain, and to perceive and connect with our surroundings. The more fully we inhabit our body, the more depth, refinement, and fluidity we bring to each of these aspects of our life.
Judith Blackstone, PhD, the founder of the Realization Process.

This workshop is an experiential exploration of embodiment through the lens of Blackstone’s Realisation Process (RP).

Minh, a certified teacher of RP, introduces us to this practice and references it to the challenge of embodiment at a time of increased use of online and AI modes of connection.

After a brief introduction, the workshop will focus on assisting participants to experience the difference
between awareness, observing and inhabiting the body. We will have opportunity to discover what is possible when we ‘come home to ourselves’ in this way.

There will be periods of playfulness, focus, and shared curiosity.

We may find ourselves dancing ’emptiness and presence’, ‘stillness and flow’.

Minh Truong-George is a Psychosynthesis psychotherapist in private practice. She is also an ordained Buddhist and a Realisation Process teacher, committed to creating a safe space where clients can realise their potential.

Arriving in Aotearoa as a child refugee from Vietnam, Minh brings a profound sensitivity to themes of exile, belonging, and culture. Her multicultural influences—Vietnamese, Chinese, Ni-Vanuatu, and New Zealand—shape a richly layered clinical perspective.

Minh’s creative and scholarly work explores the body as home, and embodiment as the journey of coming home to oneself. Through writing, visual art, documentary film, conference presentations, and publications, she explores exile, belonging, trauma, consciousness, and psychospiritual transformation. Her most recent published article, “Shut Up, Or We’ll Throw You Overboard: The Search for Belonging and the Terror of Coming Home to Self,” appeared in Psychoanalytic Perspectives in 2025. Her current work develops the concept of the Brokenwhole—a compassionate understanding of healing that embraces both our woundedness and our wholeness—which she continues to explore through writing and presentations at conferences of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
