an extended meditation on psychological space
Thursday, November 14th
7.30pm
Peter writes:
The most important practice and skill in psychosynthesis is, to my mind, centred on the identifying/disidentifying exercise. This practice underpins and facilitates what Assagioli referred to as personal psychosynthesis and also transpersonal psychosynthesis.
In AotearoaNZ we have explored the form of this exercise through the wording: “I am … and I am more than …”. This has allowed a consideration not just of the contents of our psychological life, but also the possibilities of the psychological spaces, both intrapersonal and interpersonal, in which these contents are active.
The presentation this evening will take the form of an extended meditation on psychological space.
The invitation for this evening, then, is to participate in a contemplative, meditative space together.
Peter Hubbard enjoys the weaving together of narratives in his work as a psychosynthesis psychotherapist, supervisor and consultant. He has been noticing increasing interest in critical thinking and critical theory, and in the recent revisiting of psychospiritual context as a basis for healing.
